Erica Mak, Stem Cell Lead

Erica is the Associate Manager at Novoheart. Since she joined the team in 2017, she has been focusing on stem cell culture, cardiac differentiation, and tissue engineering. She specializes in the Human Ventricular Cardiac Organoid Chamber (hvCOC) and Human Ventricular Cardiac Tissue Strip (hvCTS) platforms, which are the main technologies in the company. Erica has been involved in various projects with different pharmaceutical companies during her time at Novoheart.

Erica holds a BSc in Biochemistry and Cell Biology (BCB) and an MSc in Biotechnology from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, her academic background in biochemistry and cell biology aligns with the company's focus in the field of tissue engineering.
